Living-i: Developing the sustainable home

The Living-i project in Irlam is being run by Persimmon Homes to look at the future of house building in the UK and is now approaching completion.

The Living-i project seeks to investigate the use of current construction materials and methods with the intent to improve all areas of building houses in the future. The development features five homes, each uniquely themed and designed to examine different construction methods and materials. As part of this investigation into future home construction ADAM SMARThome systems have been installed into three of the five properties to provide insight into how the homes of the future can reduce energy waste and carbon emissions.

Living-i ultimately aims to drive a positive change through the industry to eventually deliver more sustainable homes and communities. Check back soon for more information when the development opens to the public.
