Individual Restaurant Company plc:

Helping a fantastic business continue to grow

per year.

The Individual Restaurant Company (IRC) plc, is a leading restaurant operator and owner throughout the UK. The corporate goals are clear: to build a fantastic hospitality business, to continue to develop its high profile brands such as The Bar and Grill and Piccolino's, and to lower industry rising energy costs. IRC engaged ADAM to investigate what controls equipment would enable the group to continue its aggressive growth whilst lowering its operating costs.

Capabilities: Improve on time-clock benefits

To justify the investment required to build the business case, IRC installed ADAM in sites for 'day on/day off' comparative analysis. ADAM delivered:

Result: 12 Month Payback

Working with ADAM, IRC have lowered their energy costs by up to 17%. Specifically, at The Restaurant Bar and Grill Manchester, ADAM have implemented energy savings which equate to the reduction of 40 tonnes of carbon per year.

More broadly, ADAM have become an integral part of the maintenance structure - lowering unplanned call outs by using the control devices as an asset register. This information, combined with the ability to remotely manage the site is a key cost reduction programme.

Next Steps: Building Success into the Estate

With a clear business case, ADAM are being installed in all new build programmes as the company continues to grow, and retro-fitted into the existing 25 restaurants.
